Aries AR-314
VCF

Aries modules were available both as kits and factory modules.  This module sold in 1975 for $59.50 in kit or $119.00 assembled and raised significantly in 1977 to $1115.00 in kit and $164.00 assembled.  This module appear to be a kit due to the non-uniformity of components and wires as well as the build and solder quality.

I combined specifications and schematics from Robet Leiner (with permission) and my photos into a PDF document.

This filter is a two pole CA3080 based integrator filter.  The outputs of the CA3080 are buffered with a FET followed by an LM301 op-amp.  Both the OTA and op-amps are in can style packages.

The PCB is a single sided tin with no solder mask.  Care is required when doing repairs as the pads do lift easily.

Exponential Converter U6

This is the schematic of the AR-314 potted exponential converter U6.  It is the same circuit as the AR-317 but with different pin numbering on the schematics.
